One of the hardest things to do after 9/11 was to get back to what many considered to be a normal life on 9/10. NASCAR returned to racing on September 23, 2001, at Dover International Speedway. Every car in the line-up had some tribute to America, or some colors of the flag.
Ken Schrader's team decided to go to the extreme, and had the entire No. 36 Pontiac Grand Prix covered in the American Flag.
